Leader-in-ME
TMSA is proud to be a Leader in Me School, a whole-school leadership model that empowers scholars with the skills, character habits, and confidence they need for lifelong success. Leader in Me is built on the belief that every child has genius, and that leadership is something all students can learn, practice, and demonstrate every day.
Through this framework, students learn to take ownership of their choices, set meaningful goals, build strong habits, and work collaboratively with others. Leader in Me is not just a program — it is the culture we live and breathe at TMSA.

Leadership Binders
All scholars maintain Leadership Binders, which include:
- Academic data
- Personal and academic WIGs (Wildly Important Goals)
- Habit reflections
- Work samples
- Leadership accomplishments
These binders promote accountability and help scholars understand and own their learning journey.
Student-Led Conferences
During student-led conferences, scholars use their Leadership Binders to guide the conversation with families. They share their goals, progress, challenges, and celebrations, building confidence and communication skills.
Student-Led Lessons
Scholars take on active roles in the classroom by leading morning meetings, habit lessons, classroom discussions, and other leadership activities. These opportunities strengthen public speaking, responsibility, and leadership presence.
Student-Led Awards Ceremonies
Our awards ceremonies are student-led, giving scholars the opportunity to host, present, recognize peers, and celebrate achievements. This encourages ownership, pride, and a strong sense of community.
